How to Open Attachments in Yahoo Mail on Android

Many Yahoo Mail users find it difficult to open an attachment in their Yahoo Mail account. Sometimes the attachment is blocked by the security programs for security reason, or sometimes the Web Browser prevents it from getting open. Whatever is the reason, if you are unable to open Attachments in Yahoo Mail on your Android device, you can follow the below-given solution to fix the issue.

Solution 1
If you are unable to open a certain type of attachment in your on Android device, you may go to the Google Play Store on your device and download the relevant app for the particular attachment. For example, if it is a PDF format file, download the PDF reader or PDF viewer from the Google Play Store and then try to open the attachment.

Solution 2
Try removing and re-adding the Yahoo email account. If you are using a Yahoo Mail app, tap and hold the Yahoo Mail app icon until the Uninstall option appears. Drag and drop the icon to Uninstall option. The app will be removed from your Android device. Now, re-install the app from Google Play Store and check if this fixes the problem.

Solution 3
If removing and re-installing the app doesn’t fix the issue, you can try updating the device’s software. For this, go to Settings on your Android device and tap About device. Next, tap Software update and then tap Update now. Once the software gets updated, try to open the attachment.

Solution 4
In case you are not using an individual Yahoo Mail app and have added your Yahoo Mail account in Android Mail (or Gmail), removing and re-adding the app may fix the problem. Simply remove the account from your Android Mail and add it back again. Now, try to open the attachment. The problem should be fixed.

Solution 5
If updating software didn’t solve the problem (or updates were not available), you can try resetting your device to its factory setting. For that, make sure to back up all the media, text messages, contacts etc. as the factory reset will remove everything from the device and bring it back to its default settings. To factory reset, go to Settings > Backup & Reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset device.
